David Magnus was born in Buenos Aires on 11th February 1982.
2002 he began studying Philosophy at the University of Buenos
Aires and moved one year later to Berlin in order to continue his
studies at the Free University in combination with musicology.
Between 2004 and 2007 he received private lessons in
composition by Carlo Inderhees and composed mainly electronic
music. 2005-2008 he was a scholarship holder of the Friedrich-
Ebert-Foundation. Currently he is writing his dissertation on
»Notational iconicity of musical notation. About conjuctions
between space reproduction of music and composition«,
under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sybille Krämer. Since
October 2009, David Magnus works for the NFS Iconic
Critcism - eikones, in Basel.
